DREWSEN invests in shoe press for PM 5

DREWSEN SPEZIALPAPIERE is set to modernise the press section on its PM 5 with the installation of a shoe press.

The objective is to streamline the press and improve the production of DREWSEN’s special papers in low base weights.

Installation will be completed by PMT SRL in a low-impact, two-stage process. Installation of the new shoe press represents a multi-million Euro investment.

DREWSEN will therefore be able to expand its market position for Thermal Base Papers, Thin Printing and Label Papers, and moreover, Barrier Papers for food packaging.

DREWSEN SPEZIALPAPIERE increases prices for specialty papers effective April 1, 2026

Lachendorf, March 11, 2026 – Due to rising raw material costs, DREWSEN SPEZIALPAPIERE increases prices for its uncoated woodfree specialty papers. The adjustment will range between 6–9 percent depending on the product segment and will apply to deliveries from April 1, 2026.
